We are pleased to announce that we now accept the Government of Canada's Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). The CDCP is designed to provide dental coverage for individuals who do not have access to employer-provided or private dental insurance. Recognizing the significant costs associated with dental treatments, the Government of Canada has introduced this plan to help make essential dental care more affordable for Canadians.
The CDCP specifically aims to assist low-income families without dental insurance by covering a portion of dental service costs for families with a net income under $90,000. The implementation of CDCP coverage will be rolled out in phases to ensure smooth access to benefits.
It is important to note that the CDCP is not a free dental program. Depending on the applicant’s net family income, a co-payment of up to 60% of the treatment cost may be required. Additionally, the CDCP does not cover all dental services. We advise patients to contact our office to understand the specifics of dental care costs and what benefits the CDCP will cover. For families with a net income below $70,000, no co-payment is required, and they are eligible for 100% coverage under the CDCP.
